Optic Microscopy consists on the observation of a drop of blood through a microscope, where biological changes within the cell when free radicals, microorganisms, lack of oxygen, etc. are present can be observed.

A light puncture is performed on the tip of any finger. The drop of blood obtained is then placed on a glass, and in just a few minutes the sample can be observed within the microscope and it can be assessed.

The term “analysis” is often associated to conventional blood analyses that use quantitative parameters (numeric) to assess the sample. Optic microscopy offers information of a qualitative type regarding the state of health of the individual. The sample of blood observed through the microscope offers a series of shapes and colours, which have an important interpretation.

Frequently the conventional blood analyses provide a quantitative result indicating all parameters are normal, but still many patients feel sick or have some health issues.

By using the optic microscopy it is possible to observe the biological environment of the individual, and allows us to assess with certain anticipation how health or a chronic condition might evolve over time. Functional alterations many times do not present any symptoms in the initial stages; thus, it is important to diagnose diseases while they are still functional and not pathological.
